Bottle Babies are kittens who for some reason have no mother. Perhaps she died, is too young to know how to handle kittens, or she abandoned them for some reason only she knows. Almost Home Kitty Rescue saves the babies with no mothers, feeding them every 2-3 hours around the clock. It’s hard work, but well worth it!
We almost always have bottle babies, but they are not available for adoption until they have been spayed or neutered. For their safety, boys have to be 2.5 pounds to be neutered and girls have to be 3 pounds to be spayed. It takes several months for them to be the proper weight, but it is well worth the wait. Our bottle babies turn out to be the most lovely cats, as they get love and kisses from the moment they enter our care. Because of their fragility, bottle babies cannot be reserved.
Here are some pictures of some past and present bottle babies.
